CONDUCT OF LORD LAIDLAW (No. 2)

Early day motion 2123, tabled 15 October 2007 by Gordon Prentice (Labour). Signed by 30 members.

That this House deplores the fact that Lord Laidlaw continues to serve as a Member of Parliament given his status as a tax exile; notes that he gave an undertaking to the House of Lords Appointments Commission in 2004 to become a UK resident for tax purposes and that he reneged on this promise; and considers that he is not a fit person to serve in Parliament.
