TRANSPORT OF WATER

Early day motion 1536, tabled 22 May 2007 by Graham Stringer (Labour). Signed by 27 members.

That this House believes that the most efficient and least environmentally damaging way to transport water is by pipe and that the quarter of a million bottles of water purchased each year by the House should be reduced by at least 50 per cent. by the House authorities in order to reduce the House's carbon footprint; and further calls on national newspapers not to give free bottles of water away as a promotional device.

Signatures by party: Labour 20, Liberal Democrat 5, Conservative 1, DUP 1.
