EUROVISION SONG CONTEST (No. 2)
Early day motion 1473, tabled 15 May 2007 by Sir David Amess (Conservative). Signed by 7 members.
That this House regrets the deterioration in performance levels of artists at this year's Eurovision Song Contest; notes with concern the increasing politicisation of voting patterns; and feels with great sadness that the time has now come when the United Kingdom should withdraw from the contest until it is properly re-established on a basis which attracts the very best songs and judges those songs regardless of a country's political allegiances.
