CREDIT AWARENESS WEEK

Early day motion 1440, tabled 10 May 2007 by Vincent Cable (Liberal Democrat). Signed by 70 members.

That this House welcomes the first Credit Awareness Week, taking place between 14th and 20th May; fully supports the objectives of the campaign to provide a focal point for the discussion of credit issues and help UK citizens better understand credit and debt; and furthermore notes that, while some progress has been made towards creating greater awareness and understanding, more can be done to promote financial literacy across UK society.

Signatures by party: Labour 35, Liberal Democrat 20, Conservative 8, DUP 2, Social Democratic and Labour Party 2, Independent 1, Independent Labour 1, Plaid Cymru 1.
