ARTHUR MILTON

Early day motion 1399, tabled 1 May 2007 by David Drew (Labour). Signed by 30 members.

That this House notes the passing of Arthur Milton, the last man to play both football and cricket for England; recognises his great contribution to sport, including his many appearances for Arsenal, Bristol City and Gloucestershire, and that he continued to play cricket until well into his 40's; and is proud that as a true son of the West Country he remained a gentleman throughout.

Signatures by party: Labour 20, Liberal Democrat 4, Conservative 3, DUP 2, Social Democratic and Labour Party 1.
