Early day motion 1329, tabled 23 April 2007 by Tony Lloyd (Labour). Signed by 29 members.

That this House congratulates Thelma McGrail and all the organisers of the St George's Day parade in Manchester; believes this parade was the largest such celebration of England's national day; recognises that those who participated put great effort in preparing to take part as well as contributing to the great appreciation and enjoyment for those who went to watch from Manchester and further afield; recognises that the parade drew people from diverse ethnic, religious, national and cultural backgrounds; and is convinced that such events contribute to community cohesion and civic pride.
