REVIEW OF HM REVENUE AND CUSTOMS OFFICE CLOSURES

Early day motion 1007, tabled 28 February 2007 by Gregory Campbell (DUP). Signed by 19 members.

That this House notes the recent announcement by the Government regarding the restructuring and closure of HM Revenue and Customs' offices across the United Kingdom, and the implications this will have for staff involved; and calls upon the Government to give serious consideration in Northern Ireland to the representations made under the formal consultation on the Equality Impact Assessment regarding the impact such closures would have on the predominantly female workforce that exists at many of the offices, particularly in Coleraine.
