PROSTATE CANCER CHARTER FOR ACTION
Early day motion 808, tabled 1 February 2007 by Alan Meale (Labour). Signed by 86 members.
That this House is aware that prostate cancer is now the most commonly diagnosed form of cancer in men, as well as being a major killer, resulting in the deaths of at least 10,000 citizens in the United Kingdom every year; recognises the sterling efforts of many organisations and individuals, in particular those associated with the Prostate Cancer Charter for Action, which is trying to bring about a step change in the quality of services for those suffering from the disease; and calls upon the Government to respond positively to this worthy campaign.
Signatures by party: Labour 53, Liberal Democrat 14, Conservative 9, DUP 5, Social Democratic and Labour Party 3, Plaid Cymru 2.
