OYSTER CARD AND CASH FARES ON LONDON TRANSPORT

Early day motion 610, tabled 10 January 2007 by Greg Hands (Conservative). Signed by 21 members.

That this House is concerned at the growing disparity between cash fares and Oyster card fares on London transport; believes this to be ill-conceived and contrary to efforts to bring new or occasional passengers onto London's tube and buses; believes this to be particularly unfair on tourists and visitors to this great city; and questions in particular the need for Mayor Livingstone to increase single cash bus fares from 60p to £2 during his time in power.
