FLOODING IN SHREWSBURY

Early day motion 451, tabled 7 December 2006 by Daniel Kawczynski (Conservative). Signed by 13 members.

That this House notes with concern the flooding that has once again occurred along the River Severn in Shropshire, and in particular Shrewsbury; is appalled at the Government's lack of substantive action, despite local calls for this repeating issue to be resolved; and requests that the Government act urgently to help defend the town of Shrewsbury against the annual problem of flooding.
