CHANNEL FIVE NEWS REPORT ON VEHICLE MILEAGE ADJUSTMENTS

Early day motion 2917, tabled 7 November 2006 by Steve Pound (Labour). Signed by 5 members.

That this House notes with concern that it has been revealed by Jason Farrell's Channel Five News investigation that it is legal to sell the software to turn back the mileometer of a car, van or lorry and to undertake the process of clocking but that it remains illegal to sell on a vehicle that has had the mileometer rewound; and calls on the Government to investigate, as a matter of urgency, this anomalous and potentially lethal situation.

Signatures by party: Labour 3, Liberal Democrat 1, Social Democratic and Labour Party 1.
