FEEDING OF NHS PATIENTS

Early day motion 2604, tabled 19 July 2006 by John Hemming (Liberal Democrat). Signed by 26 members.

That this House notes that in the Health Care Commission's Patient Survey of 2005, 18 per cent. of patients said that `they did not get enough help' with eating their meals and 21 per cent. said that they only got enough help `sometimes'; believes that it is a good idea to ensure that patients do get enough help with eating their meals in hospital; and calls for the Government to ensure that priority is given to feeding patients rather than spending time on satisfying the insatiable hunger of bureaucracy for forms.

Signatures by party: Liberal Democrat 15, Conservative 7, Labour 2, Plaid Cymru 1, Social Democratic and Labour Party 1.
