BARNARD PARK, ISLINGTON

Early day motion 1968, tabled 18 April 2006 by Emily Thornberry (Labour). Signed by 40 members.

That this House deplores the actions of Islington's Liberal Democrat Council in selling off areas of Barnard Park to be built over; values every bit of the park as vital green space in one of the least green boroughs in the country; and urges this Council and others to respond to local people's priorities by defending and improving London's parks rather than abandoning them to property developers.

Signatures by party: Labour 33, Conservative 5, DUP 2.
