NATIONAL MARRIAGE WEEK, 7th - 14th FEBRUARY

Early day motion 1602, tabled 8 February 2006 by Maria Miller (Conservative). Signed by 63 members.

That this House recognises the importance of marriage in British society, both as a source of personal happiness and for providing a stable and loving environment for bringing up children; welcomes the efforts of the Futureway Trust in organising National Marriage Week; and believes that more should be done to encourage families of all forms to come together and stay together, given the fundamental role families play as a building block of society.
