WAR IN IRAQ

Early day motion 1537, tabled 31 January 2006 by Paul Flynn (Labour). Signed by 27 members.

That this House calls for a fresh independent inquiry into the reasons for the UK's involvement in the US-led war on Iraq; acknowledges that the world is a better place after the overthrow of the despot Saddam Hussein but a poorer one after the deaths of uncounted Iraqis, 2241 Americans and especially the 100 Britons whose lives have been lost since the vote of 18th March 2003.

Signatures by party: Labour 14, Liberal Democrat 7, Conservative 2, Plaid Cymru 2, Respect 1, Scottish National Party 1.
