RECYCLING FARM PLASTIC WASTE

Early day motion 1275, tabled 14 December 2005 by Michael Weir (Scottish National Party). Signed by 36 members.

That this House notes the recent trials carried out by the Royal Scottish Agricultural Benevolent Institute, funded by the Scottish Executive, on the recycling of waste farm plastics; believes that every effort should be made to recycle such plastics; and calls on the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs to implement a UK-wide collection scheme in order that farm plastics can be recycled rather than burned or buried in landfill.
