NORTH WEST REGIONAL ASSEMBLY
Early day motion 1193, tabled 5 December 2005 by Graham Stringer (Labour). Signed by 7 members.
That this House agrees with Manchester City Council and the Association of Greater Manchester Authorities that the Regional Spatial Strategy drafted by the unelected North West Regional Assembly is fundamentally inadequate and flawed; believes that there is no practical or theoretical reason for the continued existence of the Assembly; and calls for its immediate abolition.
Signatures by party: Conservative 3, Labour 3, Liberal Democrat 1.
