MERGER OF YORKSHIRE POLICE FORCES

Early day motion 1067, tabled 17 November 2005 by Philip Davies (Conservative). Signed by 11 members.

That this House objects to the proposal to merge North, South and West Yorkshire and Humberside Police forces; protests at the short period of time that police have been given to put forward proposals concerning the merger of police forces in Yorkshire; fundamentally disagrees with the creeping regionalisation of all the emergency services; and believes that West Yorkshire Police should remain as a single entity.
