WALKWAY IN STAR CHAMBER COURT

Early day motion 1018, tabled 14 November 2005 by Rob Marris (Labour). Signed by 35 members.

That this House expresses its amazement and consternation that, even though the cover being erected over the short walkway by Star Chamber Court is costing an extraordinary £422,000, it is a hazard to taller persons, including for example the honourable Members for Shrewsbury and Atcham, Bedfordshire South West, Berwickshire Roxburgh and Selkirk, and Wolverhampton South West; and believes the money would have been better spent on improving the environmental performance of the House of Commons.

Signatures by party: Labour 17, Liberal Democrat 10, Conservative 6, Plaid Cymru 2.
