LIQUIDATION OF BCCI

Early day motion 949, tabled 3 November 2005 by Keith Vaz (Labour). Signed by 17 members.

That this House welcomes the decision of the liquidation of BCCI Deloitte Touche to end their high court action against the Bank of England; regards the proceedings as having been a complete waste of creditors' money; and calls on the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry to meet the liquidators to urge them to bring an end to this liquidation, the longest and most expensive in British insolvency history.

Signatures by party: Labour 11, Conservative 4, Liberal Democrat 2.
