FREE POSTAGE OF PACKETS TO MILITARY PERSONNEL

Early day motion 936, tabled 2 November 2005 by Stewart Hosie (Scottish National Party). Signed by 75 members.

That this House notes the free postage of packets to military personnel operating in the run-up to Christmas; recognises the comfort serving service personnel gain from receiving packets from friends and family whilst serving in conflict zones; deplores the fact that the Government does not allow free postage of packets to service personnel for the rest of the year; and calls for a lifting of charges for packets being sent to personnel serving in conflict zones.
