FREE TRAVEL FOR PENSIONERS ON TRAMS

Early day motion 667, tabled 21 July 2005 by Clive Betts (Labour). Signed by 40 members.

That this House believes that the scheme for pensioners to travel free on local buses from next April should be extended to cover journeys by tram; and further believes that failure to do so would unfairly discriminate against those pensioners who travel by tram and those council tax payers who might be asked to fund such a system at local level.
