BICESTER COMMUNITY HOSPITAL

Early day motion 459, tabled 29 June 2005 by Tony Baldry (Conservative). Signed by 3 members.

That this House is concerned by the assessment of primary care trusts across Oxfordshire that £12 million is being allocated to pay for blocked beds in acute general hospitals like the John Radcliffe and Horton; believes that beds in community hospitals can provide out-patient beds to patients needing only convalescence and not an acute bed; is further concerned that, rather than expanding community hospital beds, there is a threat to close these beds in Oxfordshire; and calls on the Government to honour its commitment to build a new and enlarged community hospital with 30 in-patient beds at Bicester.

Signatures by party: Conservative 2, DUP 1.
