PARADES SEASON IN NORTHERN IRELAND
Early day motion 335, tabled 15 June 2005 by Gregory Campbell (DUP). Signed by 15 members.
That this House notes the beginning of the parades season in Northern Ireland; acknowledges the rights of many thousands of people to their traditional, cultural and religious commemorations; and calls upon the Government to ensure that the small number of parades organised by the Orange Order that take place through areas where Nationalists reside enjoy the same freedom to proceed as the equally small number of Nationalist parades that take place through Unionist areas such as Kilkeel, Desertmartin and Limavady already enjoy.
Signatures by party: DUP 6, Conservative 4, Labour 3, Liberal Democrat 2.
