CONSERVATIVE POLICY TOWARDS SCOTLAND

Early day motion 157, tabled 19 May 2005 by Pete Wishart (Scottish National Party). Signed by 6 members.

That this House condemns the proposal by the honourable Member for North Wiltshire that Scotland's MSPs should be abolished and their work done on a part-time basis by Scottish honourable Members; believes that this is typical of the anti-Scottish Tories who have failed to learn any lessons from their near wipe-out in Scotland; and calls on the leadership of the Conservative Party to get a grip on their honourable Members in the House who want to cut Scottish spending, abolish the Scottish Parliament or who think Scotland is an `unattractive' place to live.

Signatures by party: Scottish National Party 2, Conservative 1, Labour 1, Liberal Democrat 1, Plaid Cymru 1.
