SUPPORT FOR QUALITY BRITISH FOODS
Early day motion 967, tabled 21 March 2005 by Bob Spink (Conservative). Signed by 18 members.
That this House believes that the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs' withdrawal of support for a campaign to promote quality food because it believes the images used, particularly that of a cow called 'Daisy', may be seen as too 'British', is political correctness gone mad; and calls on the Government to support the campaign and to more actively promote excellent British food produce and to fight any improper attempts by the EU to stop such campaigns.
