COMMENTS MADE BY THE HONOURABLE MEMBER FOR BEACONSFIELD

Early day motion 688, tabled 8 February 2005 by Pete Wishart (Scottish National Party). Signed by 17 members.

That this House condemns comments made about Scotland by the Opposition spokesperson, the honourable Member for Beaconsfield, while trying to defend the Conservative Party's narrow-minded and short-sighted immigration policy; disagrees profoundly with the honourable Member's statement that Scotland is not a very attractive place for people to come to settle; and calls on the leader of the Conservative Party to require the honourable Member to apologise to the people of Scotland.
