GOOD FRIDAY AGREEMENT

Early day motion 228, tabled 8 December 2003 by Kevin McNamara (Labour). Signed by 43 members.

That this House recognises that the people of Northern Ireland have spoken in the Assembly elections of 26th November and that the vast majority desire stability and fully-inclusive devolved government; believes that the Good Friday Agreement, endorsed by parallel referenda in Ireland, North and South, remains the only viable political framework; and urges the Government to press ahead in securing the full implementation of its wide-ranging provisions.

Signatures by party: Labour 30, Liberal Democrat 9, Labour/Co-operative 2, Plaid Cymru 1, Social Democratic and Labour Party 1.
