MINISTERIAL COMMITMENTS TO ENERGY EFFICIENCY TARGETS

Early day motion 201, tabled 3 December 2003 by David Chaytor (Labour). Signed by 107 members.

That this House welcomes the clear statement by the Minister for Energy Efficiency, at the 10th anniversary celebration event of the Energy Saving Trust on 27th November, that 'there must be a serious target for energy efficiency to help us achieve a low carbon economy'; and therefore calls on the Government to establish such a target as part of the energy efficiency aim to be set pursuant to the Sustainable Energy Act 2003.
