AIDS ORPHANS AND VULNERABLE CHILDREN

Early day motion 132, tabled 26 November 2003 by Sally Keeble (Labour). Signed by 58 members.

That this House believes that it is vital to endorse in principle the UNICEF Strategic Framework outlining key strategies for an accelerated response to the growing crisis of orphans and children made vulnerable by HIV/AIDS; and believes that commitment is also needed to put in place a detailed implementation strategy for the protection, care and support of orphans and vulnerable children, including the provision of services that will enable children to be cared for within the community.
