HOUSES IN MULTIPLE OCCUPATION DEFINITION
Early day motion 460, tabled 21 January 2004 by Lord Cryer (Labour). Signed by 50 members.
That this House recognises that tenants in the private rented sector need greater protection from poor housing conditions through legislation; and calls for the inclusion of a broader definition of Houses in Multiple Occupation in the Housing Bill to include domiciles of four people or more in two storeys or more, in order to extend protection to thousands of people currently excluded from the Bill.
