CLOSURE OF ROMFORD CENTRAL POST OFFICE

Early day motion 859, tabled 17 March 2004 by Andrew Rosindell (Conservative). Signed by 10 members.

That this House deeply regrets the decision of Post Office Ltd. to close Romford's main post office with effect from Friday 19th March; acknowledge that this closure will have an immediate negative effect on the people of Romford, who depend on the services provided by the Post Office; expresses its anger that this decision has come without warning; is appalled that no plan is in place for a replacement post office; and urges Post Office Ltd. to rectify this situation as a matter of urgency.
