CONDUCT OF PRIVY COUNSELLORS

Early day motion 719A1, tabled 1 March 2004 by Harry Cohen (Labour). Signed by 5 members.

Line 1, leave out from 'government' to end add 'that it represents a secretive part of the constitution which is unaccountable and enables a small group of privy counsellors to make undemocratic decisions, perhaps of enormous consequence; and believes that in view of this unsatisfactory nature of the Privy Council, which should really be abolished, the current privy counsellors should not be deemed to be bound by hidebound and antiquated rules seeking to govern their conduct.'

Signatures by party: Labour 5.
