CONDUCT OF PRIVY COUNSELLORS

Early day motion 719, tabled 27 February 2004 by Greg Pope (Labour). Signed by 10 members.

That this House notes that the Privy Council is one of the oldest parts of government; believes that membership of the Privy Council is a great privilege and honour; further believes that with that membership goes a great responsibility to maintain the confidence of the office; and deprecates the actions of those who betray the confidences which were placed in them in order to further their personal views.

Signatures by party: Labour 4, Liberal Democrat 2, UUP 2, Conservative 1, Labour/Co-operative 1.
