GAS MAINS SUPPLY TO RURAL HOMES IN WALES
Early day motion 656, tabled 24 February 2004 by Albert Owen (Labour). Signed by 14 members.
That this House is deeply concerned at the number of households in rural areas of Wales that do not have access to mains gas and that such a lack of choice for fuel often leads to expensive alternatives and effects fuel poverty; and calls on Transco and other gas suppliers to conduct a comprehensive survey of households to ascertain the demand with a view to getting as many homes connected on the basis of need not geography.
