PROSECUTIONS BASED ON VEHICLE DATA RECORDERS

Early day motion 1186, tabled 13 May 2004 by Rob Marris (Labour). Signed by 28 members.

That this House is disappointed to note that the Government is not aware of how many road traffic prosecutions have used evidence based on black box vehicle data recorders which can indicate the speed of the cars involved; and urges the Government to ensure that this source of evidence is not overlooked when road traffic accidents and incidents are investigated.
