US FINDING OF MURDER CONVICTION AS POLITICAL

Early day motion 1169, tabled 11 May 2004 by Lord Dodds of Duncairn (DUP). Signed by 11 members.

That this House calls on the US authorities to reconsider the decision not to deport Sean O'Cealleogh who was convicted in a UK court of the murder of two Army corporals in West Belfast, Derek Wood and David Howes; condemns the US finding that the conviction for this atrocious crime was political; and urges the United States to show solidarity in the fight against terrorism.
