BREAST CANCER CARE

Early day motion 1152, tabled 10 May 2004 by Alan Meale (Labour). Signed by 83 members.

That this House congratulates the organisation Breast Cancer Care on the launch of its new Standards of Care for Younger Women with Breast Cancer; agrees with its analysis that younger female sufferers often have very different issues to cope with or consider than their older counterparts, and therefore need special attention to ensure their specialist needs are not overlooked; and calls upon the Government to adopt immediately these standards at the very minimum level of care that younger women should expect to receive from the NHS.
