WORKERS MEMORIAL DAY, 28TH APRIL 2004

Early day motion 1089, tabled 29 April 2004 by Jim Sheridan (Labour). Signed by 65 members.

That this House notes that Workers Memorial Day passed largely unnoticed by a significant number of honourable and Right honourable members of this House, the country's legislators; and therefore calls on the House authorities to consider organising a major event within the Palace of Westminster that would supplement the good work of the trade union movement in raising the profile of this very important day.

Signatures by party: Labour 48, Liberal Democrat 8, Labour/Co-operative 7, Plaid Cymru 1, Scottish National Party 1.
