CRAWLEY LIONS CLUB AND THE EMERGENCY INFORMATION SCHEME

Early day motion 1410, tabled 28 June 2004 by Laura Moffatt (Labour). Signed by 17 members.

That this House congratulates the Crawley Lions Club for promoting the Emergency Information Scheme intended for those living at home who may fall ill; notes that the Scheme describes details of illness, allergy and whom to contact as next of kin for the emergency services if they are called to the person's home; further notes that the Scheme involves the patient's details being placed in a plastic container and kept in the refrigerator with a sticker indicating its existence on the outside or near the refrigerator; and further notes that the Scheme has the full support of the emergency services and is another fine example of Lions Clubs volunteering in communities.
