FREE AND FAIR ELECTIONS IN PALESTINE

Early day motion 242, tabled 30 November 2004 by Jeremy Corbyn (Labour). Signed by 68 members.

That this House recognises the high significance of the forthcoming Palestinian elections in January to the Middle East process; calls upon the Israeli government to do every in its power to allow the democratic process in Palestine to continue unobstructed; and notes that this can only continue if Israel allows freedom of movement for all Palestinians to participate by ending closures of voter registration centres, Israeli army incursions, curfews, continued building of the wall and checkpoints.

Signatures by party: Labour 43, Liberal Democrat 11, Labour/Co-operative 6, Scottish National Party 4, Conservative 2, Plaid Cymru 2.
