JOINT COMMITTEE ON ABORTION

Early day motion 1520, tabled 15 July 2004 by Ian Gibson (Labour). Signed by 12 members.

That this House believes that there have been advances in medical practice and scientific research on the foetus since the Human Fertilisation and Embryology Act was passed in 1990; and calls for the establishment of a Joint Committee of both Houses to consider whether such advances warrant a revision of existing legislation governing abortion.
