MORDECHAI VANUNU

Early day motion 1911, tabled 11 November 2004 by Jeremy Corbyn (Labour). Signed by 28 members.

That this House learns with horror of the aggressive re-arrest of Mordechai Vanunu from within the cathedral compound by the Israeli authorities on 11th November, at a time when the world is absorbing President Arafat's passing; recalls that since he was released after spending 18 years in prison he has been denied the right to a normal life as a free man due to the many significant and unjust restrictions placed upon him; and calls upon Her Majesty's Government to liaise with the Israeli authorities with a view to ensuring he is released as a matter of urgency.

Signatures by party: Labour 15, Liberal Democrat 8, Labour/Co-operative 2, Plaid Cymru 2, Conservative 1.
