That this House welcomes the findings of the report by the Environmental Audit Committee on Wildlife Crime; supports in particular the report's recommendations that the Government re-states its commitment to tackling wildlife crime; further supports the recommendation that wildlife crime be recognised as an issue worthy of a serious commitment of police resources, including the appointment of a properly trained wildlife crime officer for each police force; endorses the committee's view that wildlife crime should be classified by the Home Office as recordable; and calls on the Government to respond positively to this report, and act speedily on its key recommendations.
