THREAT TO FREE CASH MACHINES

Early day motion 1823, tabled 26 October 2004 by Gregory Campbell (DUP). Signed by 68 members.

That this House acknowledges the recent report by the Nationwide Building Society entitled Free Cash Machines Under Threat; recognises that UK financial institutions are currently charging more than ú60 million per annum to customers for withdrawing their own money via automatic teller machines and that the number of machines making such charges has increased by 40 per cent. this year alone; and calls upon every honourable Member to assist in highlighting this exorbitant and unnecessary charge to the public.
