CHILDREN'S CANCER AWARENESS MONTH

That this House welcomes Cancer Research UK's designation of December as Children's Cancer Awareness month; congratulates the United Kingdom Children's Cancer Study Group on celebrating its 25th Anniversary; and notes that whereas 30 years ago around two-thirds of children diagnosed with cancer died, there has been a dramatic improvement in cure rates and that now more than seven out of 10 children are successfully treated.
