That this House is concerned that according to figures from the Department of Health 10 per cent. of six year old children and 17 per cent. of 15 year old children are obese; notes that the National Audit Office has concluded that obesity generally is a growing problem that costs the health service and the economy as a whole ú2.5 billion in a single year; and therefore calls upon the Secretary of State to publish a report on the steps that he intends to take to tackle childhood obesity and to issue guidance as to how other persons can also help to alleviate this problem.
