USE OF AMPHETAMINES BY MILITARY PERSONNEL

Early day motion 563, tabled 22 January 2003 by Lord Brennan of Canton (Labour). Signed by 35 members.

That this House notes with grave concern evidence given at the hearing into the so-called friendly fire deaths of four Canadian soldiers from US Air Force bombing in Afghanistan; notes that the pilots were under the influence of amphetamines approved by the United State Air Force; and calls upon the Government to seek assurances from the United States Government that the use of speed will not be permitted by the United States military personnel in any joint action with British forces.
