WORLD CUP CRICKET MATCHES IN ZIMBABWE

Early day motion 458, tabled 7 January 2003 by Derek Wyatt (Labour). Signed by 112 members.

That this House notes that it is still the intention of the ICC to go ahead with the World Cup cricket matches in Zimbabwe; calls on them to re-schedule the games in Kenya or South Africa; suggests that the ECB takes note of every poll across the UK media which has overwhelmingly voted against England's participation in Zimbabwe; and further calls on the broadcasters and sponsors of these games to withdraw their support immediately.
