ATTENTION DEFICIT HYPERACTIVITY DISORDERS

Early day motion 792, tabled 26 February 2003 by Kerry Pollard (Labour). Signed by 52 members.

That this House commends the valuable work being done by the organisation ADDISS in helping those affected by attention deficit hyperactivity disorders; notes that there is a shortage of teachers trained to work with children affected in this way; further notes that a lack of awareness of the condition often leads to delayed diagnosis; and calls on the Government to make funds available to promote awareness and to provide specialist training schemes for teachers.
